Defense sources claim that the Sukhoi had two pilots while the Mirage had just one. Both aircraft are used in combat by the Indian Air Force. The two Sukhoi pilots managed to flee the craft and were transported to the hospital by helicopter.
Both fighter aircraft
The Gwalior Air Force base, which houses squadrons of both the French Mirage 2000 and the Russian Sukhoi, served as the launch pad for both fighter jets.
Locals in Morena recorded videos from the site, which showed burning aeroplane parts lying about on the ground.
IAF inquiry court
To ascertain if there was a mid-air collision, the IAF has constituted a court of investigation. The Su-30 had two pilots during the disaster, compared to the Mirage 2000's single pilot. Initial reports state that two of the pilots are secure, and sources state that an IAF helicopter is its route to the third pilot's location.
According to a news source, Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, was briefed on the two aircraft mishap by the commander of the Indian Air Force PTI.
