Every year, we all excitedly anticipate the budget since it affects all facets of society, from the working class to businesses. On February 1, 2023, the Union Budget for 2023–24 will be unveiled. As in past years, the budget presentation typically begins at 11:00 AM. Normally, the presentation happens at the start of the legislative or fiscal session. However, according to recent sources, the budget presentation will occur on February 1 of that year, while this year's Parliamentary session will take place on January 31, 2023.

Union Budget 2023–2024: The Role of the Finance Minister

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will deliver the Budget 2023–24, as was previously stated. She will also present the Economic Survey of India on January 31, according to recent media reports.

The Union Finance Minister also tweeted a link to a news story on the "mygov.in" website asking for public input for the yearly exercise. Increasing involvement and inclusivity in the budget-making process was the effort's main objective. The door remained open until December 10th, 2022.

What Can Be Anticipated from the Union Budget for 2023–24 ?

According to a recent PTI article, in a move to increase exports and the manufacturing of gems and jewellery, the commerce ministry has also requested a reduction in the import duty on gold.

According to a Reuters report, India may also expand rural investment by 50% to Rs 2 lakh crore in the upcoming fiscal year.
