India defeats New Zealand by 90 runs to win the series 3-0. India, 24 January (PTI) India won the three-match series by thrashing New Zealand by 90 runs in the third and final ODI. India, who batted first, posted a strong 385 for nine thanks to centuries from openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.

Devon Conway scored 138 off 100 balls as New Zealand responded by being all out for 295 in 41.2 overs. The visitors asked India to bat at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, and while skipper Rohit scored 101 runs off 85 balls, the youthful Gill raced to 112 runs off 78 balls. After the opening pair scored 212 runs in 26.1 overs, Virat Kohli added 36 from 27 balls. Later, Hardik Pandya powered India with a 38-ball 54.
